Once again, this year we hosted a group of 30 high school students and their teachers, led by Professor Felise Shapiro, from Manhattan Beach, California, USA. This took place on April 4th and their stay went as follows:
- 9.00-9.00 Arrival of California students at our school;
- 9:30-10:00 Welcome and presentation of the center in our Basilica. The head director, Father Miguel Canino and our headmistress Marisa Ibañez gave some warm welcoming words to start the day’s visit, with a brief introduction to the Salesians and their spirit.
- 10:00-11:00 Tour of the school in groups and visit to the primary classrooms. Professional training workshops, sports fields, science labs, etc.
- 11:00-11:30 Coffee break
- 11:30-12:30 Speed dating, in the library, where our students were able to quickly meet each and every student from the Mira Costa group.
- 13:00-14:15 Sports activities in our sports fields.
- 14.30-16.00: Communal lunch and farewell.
As always, it was a great day and a chance to interact, though briefly, with students from another country and culture and to see that, despite our language and cultural differences, we are deep down very similar, indeed.

Un año más, un instituto de Manhattan Beach, California, EEUU, pasó un día intenso y divertido con 45 alumnos de nuestro colegio, entre las aulas de 4º de ESO y 1º de Bachillerato.
Fue un día repleto de actividades y acabó con una comida compartida, donde la conversación fue el plato principal y la amistad el ingrediente secreto, como podéis ver en la galería fotográfica y en el vídeo que os hemos dejado a continuación.
